I'm actually considering trying some pull-up type products for when I know I'll be wetting less..... just for ease of use. The trick would be predicting when those days will be since the pull-ups don't work for regular wear.

Porkchop, I do wear pull-ups when I need to - usually for relatively brief periods. For example, when I go to my dermatologist for a whole-body examination. She can briefly slide my pull-ups down in front and in back for her examination and then slide them back up. I also am seeing a pelvic floor rehabilitation therapist who wants me to merely slide my diaper down to my knees while a drape is covering my privates. It is much easier when wearing a pull-up.

However, when I am done with my exams, I begin flooding almost immediately as I walk out the exam room door. :( I count on my pull-ups to take that and get me home dry. I use the Abena Abriform Level 3s and wear a pair of PUL pants on top. Actually the Abriforms are quite good for a pull-up and have good internal standing leak guards. I have tested several pull-ups and the Abena came out on top. They will take several normal wettings. Of course, the most important thing is that they fit your personal anatomy.

Porkchop,

Yes, I have to order them online. I get most of my supplies from XP Med or Northshore Care. The rest I get from Amazon Prime. I have found no credible pull-ups or taped diapers in any retail stores in my area. :(

As most good pull-ups have thin elastic gauze-like material covering the non-absorbent portion of the pull-up, some males have said that they look "frilly" and feminine. Although that may be true, they get the job done better than the competition. For me, the more traditional looking Depends Real-Fit only is good for a single wetting and I found that it leaked more than the other pull-ups.

@John, thanks for that! I will probably try to local stuff first since it is cheaper before moving on to the quality brands for pull-ups. This is mainly because of how I intend to use them though....

I second John's recommendation on the Abena abriflex. This is a pullup with the absorbency of a mid range regular diaper. These things are great for discreet protection. I wear them under a uniform at work. They're a bit pricey, but very durable and absorbent. Of course at home I prefer a regular diaper but could get away with these full time with my level of incontinence.

I highly recommend Abena Abri-Flex as well.

Everyday is pretty much a bad day for me....even though during summertime when warm, I tend to have fewer accidents, but still accidents, my bladder just tells me "I have to go now" and within seconds it gives away.
However I can have days where I wet less than other days, but still I need the protection regardless.

Just predict that it is going to be a bad day, prepare accordingly, and then be pleasantly surprised! :D
