hi Justej

most cotton onesies will shrink almost 15% when washed, mine looked huge when I first got them and were a bit long but after washing and drying they are a better fit.

hopefully they will be ok after washing and drying the first time,

but it all depends on how much bigger they sre then your correct size to start with

hope they fit better after the wash

Hot water wash again, and high on the dryer settings, and hope it shrinks some more, if not you could have it altered cheap enough.

Justj,

I have had onesies shortened by having the seamstress remove some material to shorten the flap. It requires repositioning the snaps or inserting new snaps. The downside is that as it moves the snaps toward the rear it becomes is a bit more awkward to fasten. :(

I washed my onsies in warm water and then dried them with the rest of my clothes. then I put them in for an extra 30 minutes and that seemed to do the trick!
they fit pretty well now.

John, I don't think I'm brave enough to take a onesie to a seamstress just yet..... real live humans... ugh, not yet.

Porkchop,

Yes, I thought several times before getting enough courage to face the seamstress. Then I had to explain to her what a onesie was!

John,
I cant believe I missed this post. I went to the seamstress to get t- shirts made with longer tails to cover my diaper and she got to see first hand why I wanted them longer. That lady helped me more than just fixing my shirts, she made me laugh about my condition. She told me that she had been incontinent for over twenty years and said laugh about it as much as you can. I go to her for all my clothes alteration. She makes me laugh every time Im there.
