Last weekend I was clearing items out of a storage unit we had used while our new house was being built and came upon an unopened and unmarked carton. It turned out to be a full case of the plastic-backed Tena Slip Maxi's! :D I had totally forgotten about it in the process of an interstate move and waiting for a house to be finished.

For me this was a real bonanza as the Tena Slip Maxi is my "goin' to church" diaper. Well, actually it is my preferred diaper for wear with any dress clothes due to its discreetness. It is better to bulge than to leak, but with the Tenas I don't even bulge. As I had used up all my other stock of Tenas during a recent vacation trip, this was a very pleasant windfall. As I usually reserve them for dress wear, they will last me for quite a while. :D

Wow, John - That truly is a serendipitous windfall! Isn't the plastic-backed Tena Slip Maxi the diaper that has been or is soon to be discontinued? Not only did you find a full case of diapers that has already been paid for and received, but they are the very ones you revere. What a great find!

All though I hated moving, it was always interesting to unpack the boxes. Especially, when it is something you can really use. Don't know if you ever had the military move you, but those contract movers will pack everything unless it is nailed down.

In shipping containers. Many long years ago, when I was young, invincible and unmarried, I worked in the International Department at Allied Van Lines in Broadview, IL. We moved Military families to and from the States and Germany, Iceland, and other parts of the World. I actually met the man who would become my husband through that job. He didn't work there - I was set up on a blind date by a co-worker. We're still married....

Awesome JD! That reminds me of when I thought I was running out of diapers a few months ago, that i was almost out of anything to use, so i bought a case of Tena Ultra.. and then i walk into the storeroom.. lo and behold, there sits an entire case of attends 8! Granted, these are not the most Ideal diaper, but they are useful for around the house wear. I once read a funny story about military movers in readers digest.. The family was getting packed to move, and then at the destination, the mom noticed a smell. It was a strong, oderiiferous smell. she didn't know where it was coming from, she opend box after box. Finally she came across her garbage can with the garbage still inside it! Talk about taking everything with you and throwing nothing away! LOL :D

Peace out!

Rob
