Hi Laurasmom,
It is very hard as being a adult to have fallen back into incontinence, little along being a young adult. I use to work with kids all the time as a coach, they can be brutal to each other. First mom, try wearing a diaper yourself for a day, just a day to see what its like to do it before tiring to help her get through the day, its not easy by any means. This will give you a new prospective what her world is going to be for her. Let her know you are doing this for her to help and make it a family effort to help her adjust to staying dry. My wife has went all in to help me and it has made a world of different on how I have adjusted to it. Stay strong as a family, you will get through this, you don't need luck its all about love !!

There is some good advice here. I would also add helping her understand that if diapers are necessary then they are by no means something she should avoid.

If she broke here arm (god forbid), but cast were seen as something only old people need, would she not wear a cast? If her knee got twisted (again hopefully not), and she needed a knee brace but only track stars wear those, would she again not wear one?

Help her to understand that when you have incontinence control problems, there is a completely normal and medically recognized device to help control it too. It may help if she can understand them not just as diapers, but maybe just medical supplies which are needed for her valid medical condition.
