How many non-fetishist, genuine IC people who use nappies/ diapers prefer to wear those designed for ABDL's over normal, healthcare designed products?

This is something that has crossed my mind recently as although I do not have any sort of ABDL fetishes, a lot of the products that have came out recently look a lot nicer (although a bit childish) in my opinion. I personally would quite like to try some of them for a bit of fun.

Think about this though - how popular are patterned/ cartoon/ colourful underwear? Before I was IC, I used to like colourful underwear much more than plain black or white ones. So many people like to wear something a bit more colourful underneath so is it wrong for an IC person to be tempted to try more fun looking products just because they are designed for fetishists?

Jake, I kinda-sorta agree with you, but not all the way. I'm a woman, and although I need Abena Abri-Flex pull-ups for overnight wear, I wear panty-style pull-ups during the day. The Always brand makes a feminine lace/retro style that I prefer far and above the Depend Silhouette panty that are plain and look like big-girl panties (although Depend has recently come out with a more sporty style). Although I like frills, I would never wear clothing of any type that is strewn with cartoon characters, bunnies, chicks, or other child/baby designs.

Rite Aid sells a washable surface bed pad (Snoozies) that I like better than anything else of its kind. I'm guessing it's meant for children, but the manufacturer had the foresight to keep it in plain white.

I agree with Wetters I am a man and do not feel the need to wear diapers designed for the ABDL community. It would be great if diapers came in a non white colour like the old Molicare Super Plus that I loved. Slowly diaper companies are bringing out products like Depend pants for Men that look more adult looking and would not stick out.

I tend to agree.. Theres really no need for it, besides ABDL diapers are WAY more expensive than those desinged for incontinece. Sure, they may be more absobent in some cases, but is that extra absobency really worth the extra cost and feeling akward wearing a diaper meant for a toddler?

When i was making my selection of print choices for the A and A pocket diapers, I made sure to steer clear of any juvenile prints, such as jungle animals, toy blocks, etc. Not that I would make fun of anyone choosing those prints, they are just not for me.

I was looking at cloth diapers/nappies and if I need them in the future I will probably get some fun designs. Age neutral things like stripes, cow print etc and basically anything that could just look like fun boxers. What I really want is for someone to make cloth nappy that has a waist band that looks like boxer shorts. It would mean that if leaning forward people would just see a normal waist band slightly higher than expected!!!

Over the years I have occasionally been forced to accept the assistance of caregivers. Some, but not all of them, have expressed the opinion that my inventory of white diapers is too clinical and that I should order printed protection. As long as I'm paying for them, they'll be clinical white. However, I can imagine that folks whose handicaps require more assistance than I do could also encounter a caregiver who thinks that printed diapers would be nice. My hat is off to them, but it is not for me.

Note that while wiki and urgan dictionary are not considered accurate by "experts", they are both written and constantly updated by the majority of common people. Ask anyone on the street or look at any news article that included an adult in a diaper (or better yet don't), and they will also most likely include sexuality in their own definition too.

Note many references like this also like to say a fetish primarily refers to magic worship. I'm certain we can eliminate these sources as being a little out of date though (lol). Also, there is a language gap in between commonly accepted words between the US (and admitably most other countries) & the UK (with also mixed views in a couple more European countries)



I have extensively researched, and found more than enough supporting evidence that -generally speaking- when someone does not differentiate between sexual and non-sexual fetishes, what they are saying will most likely be interpreted by others as a default- sexual in nature kind of fetish. (even if that is not what they really mean).

So, with this in mind.... I absolutely do not have a diaper fetish! I do however, have a strong will or desire for them. I have even found this to be true for most every single abdl as well- with only a very few exceptions. Oddly though, many dl's will vehemently deny they are not sexually attracted to diapers while also saying they have been inexplicably attracted to them since even before puberty- and therefore could not possibly have sexual desires in the first place- yet again swear to having a fetish (odd....). This makes no more sense than saying you have a person-fetish simply because you love your spouse (and yes this is even with the sexual benefits that come with a spouse). Love and compulsion is not a fetish! Get this straight people! Now, opposite to this, most ab's will agree with this same conclusion since they more align with the desires of a real baby and therefore do not have sexuality in mind any more than a real baby would.



Simply put, the great majority of anyone who likes or is compelled towards loving diapers does not have a fetish- especially abdl's. Regardless though, I do also like how the abdl themed diapers look, and am even willing to pay a little more for an abdl diaper that would work just as good as a plain one. However, the key point for me here is the old "form follows function". I absolutely will not buy an abdl a diaper like baminos, fabines, snuggies (now tykables), etc. This is because they all use the same no-lower-tape design, that when sized properly will not work properly, and will leak around their leg bands long before reaching any kind of capacity. Additionally, there are no other properly designed adult diapers (with a lower tape and proper fit) that also have an abdl theme. As such, I prefer- but will not buy- any abdl diaper currently available, even being genuinely incontinent first and foremost.

I agree many regular adult diapers look too institutional and wouldn't mind prints just to feel that I am wearing something normal. But the babyish prints on the ABDL products make me feel silly. I am ready to wear then anyway if they serve my primary purpose for the right price, form follows function in this direction as well.But I would rather wear some insitutional looking diaper that a babyish prints. In fact I find wearing babyish prints more embarrasing than actualy wearing diapers.
