Welcome!

As far as losing a post, sometimes depending on if you closed the post or not, what you can do is copy the text youve written in the window, log back in and paste it into a new message. That's what Ive done. I would suggest seeing a doctor, if you haven't already if you think you are having incontinence issues. I am sorry to hear that you are having troubles. I realize that seeing a doctor about this is quite embarassing, but you have to remember, that you are NOT alone. There are 20 million individuals in the US alone that deal with incontinence.. thats like the population of a major US City times 20.

In the meantime while you are working up the nerve to schedule an appointment, it might be best to try some protection. I know, again, it is the last thing someone new to incontince would want to wear. But, honestly, if you dress properly, the ONLY person who knows what you have on is you. I've been wearing full fledged adult diapers for over a year now, pretty much the thickest you can buy at some points and i haven't ever been asked if i m wearing a diaper. There are different foroms of protection available.. try to find one that suits your needs. This advice is about as much as i can say without knowing the specifics of your situation.

Peace out!

Rob

Welcome Ted. Like Rob said you are not alone. Best thing to do is to see a doctor and discuss it with them. I know it is easier said than done, but don't be embarrassed as they have heard it and seen it before. This way you can find out exactly what you are dealing with.

Ted,

Add my tardy welcome to those above. The folks here possess a wealth of hard-earned knowledge. First, get some competent medical advice, which may include some embarrassing tests, and, if your urologist tells you that you must learn to live with incontinence, report back. We are here for each other, and that may include you.

Good luck and keep us informed.

Hi Folks, I start the journey down the "path" Tuesday. I have an appointment with a new GP. I've been coping with OAB and urge problems for 15 years+. Not to mention my night time troubles. I'm curious as to what he'll have to say and more than a little apprehensive. I'm uncertain as to how far I'll be able to go with the "cures" that are going to be offered. Especially as they all come with potential problems and formidable cost. It would be nice to just go to bed and sleep or to decide to just go out for the evening and not worry about a disaster. But life has taught me that all things come with a cost. I'll keep everyone here informed as to how it goes. Ted
p.s. hope everyone here had a great Christmas....
