And...it came back negative. Which means, either i bungled it horribly, (which I don't think i did, or I don't have blood in my poop. So that means no colonscopy..yay.. My, that would have been really akward especially with the incontience.. theyd put me out for an hour.. and id be naked.. what if my bladder decided to release.. more than likely theyd have to foley me.. yeah... would just like to AVOID that sithuation alltogether.

Peace out!

ROb

That's great news, no scoping. I hate getting them done, its not like we don't have enough things already going on.

Rob,

My paralyzed stomach makes colonoscopies necessary every few years. I agree, they are the pits, especially for folks who already have urinary control difficulties. Keep those negative thoughts coming.

Patrick,
I'm totally incontinent and I catheter up before I go and get it done. I only cath if my bladder locks up from my Inter Stim.

mlhjr,

The Interstim was offered to me, briefly. I'm glad I refused. Having it lock up on you when you're having a colonoscopy must be the pits. If you need to be scoped regularly, and if each scope procedure is an opportunity for your Interstim to lock up, whew! Not something anybody should be forced to endure!

Patrick,
The inter Stim was originally installed for pain. The nerve beds one of leads set in for my pain also can control your bladder. I keep it at a low setting so it doesn't lock me up, it can and will lock things up if the setting is to high. There is a lot to know about this unit. For pain control this unit was totally worth it, but one channel set to high and its catheter time.

Been there already, at 35 years old- and also diapered. They do not care about getting pee all over. They will purposely be getting poop everywhere any ways and are ready for it. I showed up diapered, got knocked out, and left in a different diaper and sore after waking up and farting. (no really, the farting is a requirement).
