you order a case of comfidry from xp medical over the weekend, realize that you are almost out of molicare and when you go to the fedex site in the morning it says that the comfidrys wont be delivered until friday.
and then you check the fedex site in the afternoon and it says they will be delivered tomorrow.
crisis averted!

Ah, the dreaded "Nothing but an empty bag" crisis. Once you get into the habit of ordering a week earlier than needed you will eventually have a new case coming when you have just opened the last case. A few less Starbucks trips per week and it will pay for the case of diapers in short order.

XP Medical is the BEST..not one of the best, but the BEST at service when it comes to delivery. Many many times I have seen just what you have..the inital estimate is a week or so after I place the order, but its usually way overestimating. I have only had to wait an entire week to get my order ONCE out of the dozens of times ive ordered from them, and that was because some of the diapers I wanted to have had to come from the California warehouse. Usually though, without fail, my stuff arrives literally the 2nd day after i place the order. I have had times where I place the order and get the approved transaction email and the order has shipped email literally the SAME DAY.

Wiith this in mind, justej, I would not panic if you see a delivery date longer than what you hope for. But, It wouldn't hurt to plan for a week of transit time just in case. That being said, you can usually expect delivery from XP Medical to be rocket fast and prompt.. thats a big reason why I order mostly from them and no one else.. I have ordered diapers from other companies when I need extended wear diapers that medicaid doesn't cover, but for the most part they are my absolute one stop shop go to for quality products and OUTSTANDING customer service. In the past when I had issues with Tena Slip maxi falling apart which was due to a manufacturing defect, he was quick to offer to replace the bag. He even threw in a free sample of Abena M3 as an alternative to the Tena Slip Maxi, just in case that bag was also defective, I had another alternative to pursue for discreet extended wear. I can't say enough about XP Medical, or recommend them highly enough.. they will have my business for a VERY long time.

thats good to know because ive had tapes on 3 of the diapers that ive had on rip on me as soon as i put them on.
has anyone else had this problem with comfidry?
and the one i had on last night leaked on me.

the tab on my FOURTH diaper just broke. i am so not impressed. i just got this package yesterday.

Invest in black electrical tape... $4.50 at Home Depot for a sleeve. If you are mobile tapes will break. I've never run across a tape I could trust.

It's interesting, baby diapers (at least Pampers and Luvs) have tapes that never break. The backing seems to have latex in it, and the tapes are heat welded on. Why this doesn't translate to adult diapers I can't tell you.

It's almost as though these diaper tapes are made for inactive participants. I always tape over diaper tapes with Scotch brand tough duct tape. It's clear, easy to tear off the roll and easily ripped length wise to make them more managable. Best of all the tape holds, I mean it really holds the diaper together and Very well! statement.

Is it the tabs themselves or the plastic backing that is ripping? A few things to try:

Don't pull the tapes tightly when putting them on, slightly snug is enough. I've not had major issues with Dry 24/7 tapes since I started doing this. Previously, the plastic backing would rip right where the tapes were adhered.

If the plastic backing is still ripping and gentle taping isn't enough, putting 2 strips of clear packing tape on the front and adhering the tapes to that helps to reinforce. The tapes also seem to stick better to the packing tape than the actual plastic backing of the diaper.

Or, just put it on and put strips of duct tape over the tapes immediately afterward. This also helps if the problem is that the tapes are popping off the back of the diaper.

Sucks that extra steps need to be taken with a premium brand, but even just using duct tape will prevent the case from being a useless loss.
