Sandy,
There is only one good thing about the ABDL crowd out there. They were the driving force that got most of these websites on line that sell aadult size diapers and plastic pants. The disposable diapers for adults took off when Kimberley-Clark got agressive and opened up the market to the incontinent with their Attends. Of course, Depends took control too. The ABDL crowd uses a lot of disposables too.
The internet brought this new tool to look for and obtain adult diapers. I don't understand how so many people can get a fetish for diapers. There are a lot of different types of fetishes out there(shoes were one most people think of, I guess), but this diaper fetish has really exploded. I would be willing to bet that the lion's share of diapers are bought by this crowd. That's just my opinon, but we're going to have to tolerate them for a long while.

If I found a particular type of diaper or plastic pants on an ABDL site, I would go ahead and get it. I do not think they would hound you with trying to re-order. The frilly plastic panties are very popular on these sites, so they'll probably have the best selection. I don't know about their prices, though.
There is one site I have bought cloth diapers and plastic pants from that has a very attractive "Rumba" stle plastic panty. That site is Protex for Life. Their website is www.myprotex.com. It's under "plastic lingerie". It runs about $37.00? If I saw my wife in these, she sure would get my attention :P ! They are always having specials on their products.
If you do order some more cloth diapers, try to order some of the ones Joe K and I have suggested. I know you'll be very happy you did!
Good Luck shopping for these! .......Paul

Well it's not that I'm afraid of them hounding me to re order. I just don't like the Idea of supporting that group. But then you may have something about them openning up things for us. I guess when you think about it what company would have come up with lacy plastic pants :?:

I've been wearing my lacy ones to bed and it's been paying off

Some years back I stumbled into the Daily Diaper review board and found some imformation helpful. But also found some to be disturbing.

If your worried about noise from the plastic backed Diapers you can find out what to avoid on there. The fetish crowd gets off on those.

i GOT TO GO MY NAME IS BEING CALLED..........SANDY

OK I'm Back.
Now were was I?

But then again When I first got a computer back around 2000 I was surprised to find all the supply companys out there that handled Adult Diapers. I don't think I really ran into the ABDL crowd for a few months. or at least it was a few months before I found out what they were about
I was floored when I found out what that was about

Rats Got to go again............Sandy

Hi Paul and Sandy,
I guess this is the other Paul and Sandy board...but there are lots of views so folks are reading...and maybe some are thinking about trying cloth.

And let me welcome Tony for his contributions and, please, don't be a stranger!

I've posted often on the AB/DL crowd so I won't. Paul's right on with them being the driving force behind us getting MUCH better diapers and plastic pants.

I don't want to belabor the point, but Babykins is a good company with top of the line products, that offers plain white or solid color stuff along with colorful print diapers and print plastic pants, popular with the AB/DL crowd, but the company itself is not, so Sandy, there is one to consider where you are not supporting an AB/DL site.

Paul, I believe you were going to try Kins plastic pants to check out the quality-comfort. Any news?

Update on Velcro on diapers. I can't blame Sandy for going to EBay, she did get two or three times the diapers for her money. We spent $40 give or take for one diaper at My Lil Miracle and Babykins.

I'm up to 8 washings with the Babykins and it's doing fine. All by itself, it is equivalent to a standard duty disposable so I can recommend it for a reusable alternative for expensive disposables. For overnight, as Paul points out, it needs boosters. I've only worn pin on prefolds at night.

It is, indeed, a lot easier to change than a pull on. And the snugness you can achieve with the Velcro fastening impressed even me.

Good for you, Paul, to introduce pinning prefolds, tho I consider that a lot to hope for when pushing disposable wearers toward cloth diapers. Pinning to get cloth snug is an art in itself.

We are in ageement about Adult Cloth Diaper. Excellent cloth diapers and I am a true gauze fan. I think ADC was one of the first to offer gauze when everyone else offered only flannel or birdseye. I recently got a dozen of the Purity gauze squares. They are 36" square and launder down to about 32" and can be had in 2 ply or 4 ply. The 4 ply are making great soakers. One folded in half adds 8 plies of gauze to the center of my prefold diaper.

Enuff rambling for now!
JoeK

Hey guys

I just wanted to comment on kins plastic pants. They are comfortable and last forever. I have some of their poly plastic pants that I have had for years. I also use their prefolds inside the snap ez for life pocket diapers.

Hey I went to the protex site. Wow do they have the stuff My problem is I really don't know that much about what is what :?: I'd take one of each but at those prices my husband would kill me.

One other note for Paul I was going to respond to your statement about the size of the ABDL crowd. Do you think they out number us? I mean the last statistic I read there was around 20 million people with some form of incontinence. Now if you were to narrow that number down in groups as to what type of protection is worn. My guess is there's a larger percentage that just wear pads pull ups or belted pads or maybe shields then there are us that are in full blown diapers 24/7. So by narrowing that down to that maybe they have the group you and I are in beat. But it's hard to say what the real numbers are on either side. I've read that 20 million is a conservative number. Because of the Tabbo on the subject either side has more that would rather stay in the closet then come out and be recognized. I know the first years I began to have problems I didn't want to come out of the closet. But then maybe now days it's easier to come out because it is much more known then it use to be

Hey

Babykins makes 4 types of waterproof pants. Poly, vinyl, nylon and rubber. I have tryed them all and the poly and nylon last the longest.
I prefer the nylon in the summer when its hot but they are alittle noisy.
The rest of the year I use the poly, they are comfy and last forever

Sandy

The nylon is just alittle cooler on a hot day, they don't breath.
