Several years ago I attended a workshop for folks with chronic illnesses run by a local hospital. Because those who attended were dealing with such a wide variety of ailments, no single bit of advice suited all. However, the leaders did include a list of online support groups and medical advice providers, which has proven quite useful. I have discovered that not all of the advice available on the Internet is accurate, useful, or even competent. However, if it is recommended by a hospital, you can assume that it has been vetted for competence and accuracy. Your experience with stroke survival should make you an excellent resource. Good luck.
