Hello my name is Thurman. I am 31 years old and suffer from I guess urge incontinence. I have been wetting the bed since my early teens so wearing a diaper whenever sleeping was normal for me. However here lately I have been having daytime accidents as well. My accidents are like I have no idea I have to go then sudden leakage occurs. Or of I get an urge it's sudden painful and usually immediate leakage. Have to resort to full time diaper use has been a hard pill to swallow. Tips? Advice?

Hello Thurman, welcome to the forum. Yes, it can certainly be a tough one to come to terms with, but is manageable with the right gear, there are many good options out there to choose from. I started having problems after an MVA in 1995, but life goes on, and for me it could be so much worse, I am glad I have what I do and can still function on a fairly normal level. Your symptoms of urgency sound much like mine do, I try to stay one step ahead of my bladder, some days I win, and some I lose, oh well... I call it "The battle of the Bladder..." lol Some rounds you win, others you lose! Hang in there, stay positive, & know you are certainly not alone in this, may seem like it at times, but you would be surprised at the number of people you know that have difficulties in this area of life, they just don't talk about it! The first thing anyone is going to say... see a doctor. There may be other factors at work behind the scenes causing problems.

After that, invest in some good protection. If your leakage is mild to moderate and not super frequent you may be able to get away with a male guard or pull-up type garment.
