Hello everyone. Please feel free to comment on this one but I am specifically asking about an issue that I am confident only the ladies have to deal with. I am asking to help my wife out. She has had some form of stress incontinence since our daughter was born 6 years ago. She has dealt with this in her own way without resorting to diapers either pull on or tape tab or other. I believe she has used pads mostly to help. Recently she has had a bad cold that has caused major coughing fits to occur and has even woken her up in the middle of the night. Twice now she has gotten these coughing spells so bad that she has wet through her pad, panties, jammies and onto either the bed or couch. We have talked briefly about her switching to a stronger product made for incontinence rather than the pads she has been using. As I have several different types in the house, I have some options for her to choose from.

Here is where I need the help. This morning I woke up to find that she had one of her bad spells last night on the couch as she fell asleep there and never came to bed. She also told me that since she has been dealing with the wetness she believes she now has a yeast infection. Being that I know very little about yeast infections and specifically how wearing diapers for protection can affect the healing of a yeast infection, I am turning to you to help. Specifically, what effects will wearing a diaper have on the healing time of a yeast infection? Will the diaper make the yeast infection worse? What is the best strategy for dealing with incontinence and a yeast infection at the same time?

I really want to help her with this and not do anything to make it worse. I know she is not feeling well and is in pain because of the yeast infection. I also know she is not done with her coughing spells and worse she has developed stronger sinus allergies and has started having sneezing fits too. Any help or advice you can offer will be greatly appreciated

Thank you in advance for your help and support.

As a man, I can't speak to the how the diaper will effect her internal healing process, but I wanted to warn that the same fungus that causes yeast infections can also cause a pretty sever diaper rash.

She should probably talk to a doctor before it gets out of hand.
