I have a couple questions for everyone that wears diapers to manage their incontinence....
The first question I had was what type of wipes does everyone use? I like to use the CVS brand baby wipes. They come in packs of 40. They are purple and can be found in the baby section for 1.99 each. Sometimes, CVS runs a sale and you can get them with a coupon or your CVS card for 1.49. These work pretty well for me at cleaning up any bowel accidents. I just throw them in my backpack and I'm off.
The second question I had was "what type of bag does everyone carry a spare diaper and supplies in"? I use a drawstring backpack that I got from Dicks Sporting Goods. You can find them in many stores. I got mine for $12. It holds 4-5 Abena XPlus diapers and a package of wipes. I usually don't use that many but it will hold it if I go to say...a theme park or something. Living in Florida, I like to frequent theme parks and this bag will hold many diapers and wipes that I'll need to get through a long day. The last time I went to a theme park, I carried my 2 pocket backpack I use for school because it will hold more. I have 2 kids and I end up carrying their supplies too if I have a the space for it. The pack just makes it easier. I carry the drawstring backpack with me everywhere I go. Only one person has ever stopped me and asked to see what was in my bag. It was at my employer and he was my boss. He asked to see what was in my bag and I showed him...he said " I don't even want to know". He was later fired for some unknown reason a couple days later. The bottom line is, the drawstring bag comes in handy. Anybody else use these?
Also in my car, I have pockets on the backs of my seat. In the pockets, I keep spare Abena Extra's just in case I'm having a bad day and forgot my bag. I always have access to a spare so I can change. I have one behind each seat. You can't tell unless your sitting in the back seat and you open up the seat back. One thing my incontinence has taught me is to always be prepared!!! I don't ever want to be caught off guard.
