I recently got a case of Abena Extra's. When I went to put one on, I found that it was torn and the stuffing was coming out in the front portion of the diaper almost at the top. I managed to use them as long as I didn't fill the diaper. I mainly used them around the house and yard. They left stuffing on several occasions on my skin. I tried not to venture out away from home wearing them. They were free provided by the VA so I didn't complain. I managed to use the whole case. It was the whole case that was torn in the same place on every diaper. Like a two inch tear. Anyone else had this problem?

Nope, never recieved any that wore torn, if I had paid for them, I would be contacting the manufacturer about it for sure, they are not cheap to begin with. I only bought them once, overkill for what I need, but a very good product, as long as they are not torn! Puffy

I had problems with the last case of Abena XPlus, where many of them would split in the seat area at night. I didn't have them on too tight either.

Yea I'm going to call XPmedical tomorrow to find out if this is something they know about. I'm curious if they will send me a replacement case for my trouble. Because every one that came from this case had like a 2 inch tear in the front of the diaper. I couldn't use them to their full extent. I had to change after one wetting. Total waste.

For the volume of business they do, I am sure, even if it is a pain to have to deal with, they should back up what they sell, and they can deal with returning them to the manufacturer, will be interesting to see... I would think it was something in the "putting together" process, either the cutting or sealing where something went buggy and cut the entire batch, probably a few more out there besides yourself that had tears to find when they got put on, Puffy

I called XPmedical. They asked me to take a photo and put it in an email and send it to them so they can see the damage. They are going to replace the case that the VA purchased for me. The only problem was that I used pretty much the whole case of damaged product because I had to. I was running low and had no choice. It was just like a two inch tear so they weren't totally bad. I just couldn't saturate the diaper or the stuffing would fall out. I think I've got one case left so as I use them, if I find another one, I will take a picture and send it to them. They said nobody else has complained about that lot. But they will replace them.

I had the same problem, I just thought I had them too tight or moved wrong when asleep. Guess not?

I wear plastic pants over them so it didn't cause too much of a problem.

I emailed Xpmedical all the information and they are sending out a replacement product. I am getting a case of Xplus in exchange for the Extras. They truly have the best service.

Not a surprise at all Don that they will replace them, any of the smaller one-off companies out there and it would most likely be a fight on your hands to get anything done like this... Kudos to XP Med... 8) Puffy
