I am a side sleeper and suffer from the problem of not getting night-time moisture absorbed. All the padding is in the front and in the back. I wear a disposable and a cloth diaper over that followed by a good quality pair of plastic pants. But I still wake up with a wet bottom sheet (I have a waterproof matrise cover). The wetness slides down the side and pools at the side of the pants where it eventually leaks out. Is there some way to absorb this wetness. I have tried a thick towel wrapped around my waist, but that does not work well and I do not need the area below my waist-line looking like I am wearing a balloon. Any ideas? |

You need absorbent material where you are most likely to leak, in your case at the sides. You might try some disposable inserts in your disposable diaper, one wrapped around each side. You could also try a pair of high-waisted bloomers to help hold liquid inside until the cloth diaper can absorb it. Just keep trying until you find something that works. In any event, get some washable cloth bed pads. They can be changed in a few seconds and are much easier than changing sheets. |
