My wife suggested I use a non-scented lotion/powder when I change my diaper. She said I smell like a baby sometimes. What I use is Johnson's Baby Powder and Lotion most of the time. I use an unscented diaper rash ointment while wearing a disposable diaper, but with my cloth diapers, I stick with baby lotion. I have seen some incontinent sites who sell mainly disposable diapers that carry special lotions/powders for adults, but they're pretty pricey. What do you other members on this board use? My current types keep me diaper rash free and cost little, so I'm reluntant to change. ..................Paul Martin |

I don't know if it was the combination of the powder and the laundry soap or what, but as soon as I quit using the powder, that strange smell went away. Yeah, strange, I know!!! But true!!! And my wife used to tell me I smelled like a baby too. I have no idea why, I only wear a diaper ,used baby powder, peed and messed myself. Where do you think she would get that idea from? Hmmm? LOL!! Sorry, I had to say that. As for something for a rash if and when I get one, I just use the old standby, Desitin. I get it in the 1 pound tub and it will last me about 4 to 6 months. I'm lucky in that I don't get rashes very often, even with no bowel control. My skin is pretty tough I guess, but it sure hurts when I do get one. |

I shower in the morning, and again at night and after each shower I use A&D as a barrier cream. I also spray the diaper with Fresh Again to help neutralize odor, and use body power. Using these combination of items seems to work the best for me. ![]() |
