PMs from Libya

Mon Dec 19, 2022 8:28 am

I received two PMs titled “Incontinence Underwear Review Invitation” from Taj. I think they may be suspicious. Please note that the country code ly stands for Libya. Erring on the side of caution, clicking those links could be risky.

Did everyone else receive the same? If you followed the links, what did you find?

Best,

Yes, I did receive those messages but I promptly deleted without clicking the links. Usually I investigate the links but I had no interest and just deleted. I would certainly be suspicious of any links sent to you, since they can be dangerous.

I also received this. I examined the links using a *very*secure*browser* setup, and I was not impressed with the products shown there. I also found the same spam being sent to other incon sites as well. Nobody ever had a good thing to say about their experience. Perhaps we are all too paranoid to try it out? I know I am.

Thanks for the heads up gang. I'll look into the account and will see if we need to remove them for SPAM violation.

I got one too. Has the site been hacked? My PMs are off I thought. Not happy.

BTW, this short link site is an American company who bought the address "bit.ly" and rents it out to many firms. While it's true that the top level domain does belong to Libya, this site does not. Many US firms rent ".tv" addresses from Tuvalu for similar purposes.

I got the same "invitation" and responded through the PM system asking for more information. I never received a response.

Thanks for the research! Nicely done.
I'm still concerned that a "member" spent the time to harvest all the PM information and then send a blanket PM to members. Beware of phishing website links. BTW I did not see a "TAJ" listed as a member.
I'm glad our moderator is digging into the issue. Thanks

I've gotten the same messages, and apparently, this company is acutally in Hong Kong. They contacted me via my personal email a few months ago, but I never got around to trying their products. Seeing this post makes me think twice about giving out my address to them. Is there any way to verify their legitimacy?
