So now that the cold weather is upon us, does anyone else feel that they leak more frequently and have more urgency with incontinence in the winter? I had plenty of issues in the summer, but this cold weather seems to have me leaking or peeing every 30 minutes again.

I like to wear heavy cloth diapers, especially in the winter. When they are dry, they provide additional welcome insulation; however, cold, wet diapers can be aggravating. My experience with disposables has been that they do not provide as much insulation, and feel worse than cloth when they are wet.

Like rmg, I do seem to pee more frequently when out in cold weather. However, I don't know whether there is any scientific validity to my very casual observation. Does anyone have any insight into this?

Typically more urine is produced during cold weather because a person is perspiring less.

Good Evening,

Here is my understanding and what has been experienced by me. I also tend to urinate more when cold. The body's natural response in the cold is to pull warm blood into the core of the body in order to keep the vital organs warm. So blood will be pulled from the arms and legs and kept in the body. The body(or kidneys) will sense this change and take it as a need to urinate off the increased volume or fluid.
Make since?

Hi All

In winter I do urinate more as a result I have a selection of diapers for all occasions and seasons just part of the deal with incontinence that I have to deal with.
