| Post subject: | Antibiotics |
I'm on a 7 day 3 times a day course of antibiotics for a tooth infection (yay) and its doing a number on my stomach and incontinence in general. I'm doing probiotics and such but to no avail. I'm miserable. Does anyone have any tips? I always react badly to antibiotics and I'm running low on diapers. This is the pits. |

Just an update (even though I didn't get any response so I don't know if anyone is even reading these) I have been taking Imodium and that seems to have reset things to normal. |

I was told to stop the Imodium and just let the antibiotics run their course. Just ordered 2 more packs of diapers. Good lord this is rough. |

Hi Justej So sorry to hear about your problems antibiotics and incontinence are not happy bed fellows. Ginger biscuits, flat coke, flapjack and yogurt help if it is proper diarrhoea contact you doctor for some advice! Your doctor might be able to give you an alternative with fewer side effects. Diarrhea that is caused by an antibiotic can be the pits. I second the advice to consult your physician, especially the one who prescribed it. It is such a common malady that medical professionals surely have a cure for it. Good luck and keep us informed. |
