Amazon - why dont you tell everyone my business?

Tue Apr 19, 2022 9:44 pm

I had to order 2 more packs of Abena because I am running short. I look on Amazon and see I can get them cheap and today great I thought! Well they are supposed to call me when they get here. They didn't they just left them outside in their original packaging!!! With my name on them no less. I think I got them before anyone saw but damn.

Items shipped directly from Amazon will have discreet packaging that will not reveal the contents. However, that is not guaranteed when items are shipped directly from Amazon vendors. It is necessary to read the fine print about shipping. Often getting an item "cheap" means that it has been discounted by a vendor and is not coming directly from an Amazon warehouse.

One of them was in Amazon packaging and one of them was not. It definitely came from the warehouse

Ive gotten to the pont where I dont really care about discreet packaging, but thats just me. I live in my parents house and the only ones who will see it are my family, and it doesn't bother me.

But yeah, sorry Justej. Funny story.. ive gotten diapers in boxes for coffee makers.. and my neighbors in my building back when I lived in a high rise said Hey gonna make us some coffee? Awkward... And another time, a neighbor said when they see me get a package "Oh I want one" I'm thinking.. um.. NO you don't want adult diapers...

Anywhoo..

My 2 cents.. life is too short to worry about minor indiscertions like this. Just find a different supplier, one that has discreet packaging and just go about your daily life.

My neighbors see me working in my garden, shoveling snow, raking leaves, and shopping at our local supermarket. And they see my diapers hanging outside in warm, dry weather. I understand all these as my small contributions to eroding the stigma. Embarrassed? Yes. But swallowing my ego may be necessary for the greater good.

Ultimately I don't care but it's easier said than done. My monthly order comes in Abena boxes but it's different when a pack of diapers is just sitting outside. I don't flaunt my wearing. I try to be as descreet as possible. My diapers have shown above my pants line before and it was super embarrassing. I don't want to be a poster boy for incontinence acceptance

Sorry if that came across as angry. I'm having a rough time.

ditto on the dont care about the packaging anymore. whatever works for the shipper. but do not like getting single bags with a shipping label on them..they damage easily
