I got this from my supply guy. Does anyone know how it will effect leak guards? Thanks

I don't know for a fact, but my gut feeling is with disposables I would expect it to take way way longer for it to eat through the elastic, than you'll be wearing it for before you have to change!

I would worry more about the elastic in, say, reusable plastic pants. (Although maybe they have some super duper sort of elastic for those, I dunno)

If I'm wrong then I'm sorry and I hope you'll post a followup and let me know and then I'll have learned something!

I use pul pants so I don't know if that would hurt them. It's petroleum based. Also not sure even how to use it! Like what parts I can and cannot use it on. So many questions

Being that this is an oil based product, vinyl fabric and rubber based elastics will develop problems over time. More detergent may be needed to get it out of cloth. Sounds like it is a good moisture barrier. Probably don't use more than necessary for light coverage of irritated areas. I don't envision any problems with leak guards on disposables.
Hope it works for you. Stan

Thanks Stan. I also ordered some balmex. A good friend recommended it. His sister has cerebral palsy and is incontinent and uses it.
