Because of Covid, I am working from home, business traveling less and the new remote work routine affords me the opportunity to be closer to a toilet. I am thinking of switching to a pullon. I think a pullon will be easier for me to use the toilet; I won't have to undo the tapes and wiggle out of a tabbed diaper.
There are a couple of pullons that are popular (Northshore Flexsupreme, GoSupreme, Abena). Unfortunately, companies are not giving out samples because of Covid.

Does anyone have an opinion about a pullon that would be a logical choice as a step down from a tabbed diaper. I use a northshore lite + booster.
And can anybody comment about which pullon has a highest leakguards. I know Wellness Superior Tabbed Diaper has very high leakguards and I wonder if the pullon would too.

thanks

I've used the Abena Abri-Flex and the Molicare Mobile pull-ups with good success. I think the Molicares have a bit better leak guards but the capacity is about the same in both and way better than any of the store brand pull-ups.

I wear the Northshore go supremes in between the time I get up and my first bowel movement. I don’t tend to wet during that time for some reason and I’ll have my morning coffee/bm then shower/change into a tabbed diaper. In the rare occasion that I do wet they hold pretty well.

And has anybody tried adding a booster to a pull-on? Its unlikely that I will need to (will just wear a diaper in those situations) but want to keep my options open

I should have mentioned that I do that quite often and especially when I'm on a vacation and not sure when or where a toilet is. I like to use Male Guard Pads as a booster, but a Northshore (i.e. flow-thru) booster will work well just fine too. In those situations I will use the toilet whenever possible but if/when the pad/booster gets soaked I'll just pop into the next available bathroom and change it out with one from my pants pocket. It takes just a few seconds to make the change and nobody is the wiser.

Padded53: Yes Exactly. I think pullons are conducive to changing a booster. Between the Gosupreme and the molicare, which is better for a booster

I really can't say since I haven't tried a NS GoSupreme, but I know for certain that boosters work just fine with a Molicare Mobile. Last year during a two week driving vacation in Europe I used that combination with no problems or leaks. Another benefit to using this system is that you don't need so many large diapers or pull-ups, just a bunch of easier to fit (and carry) boosters or pads.

Do you make a slit in the male guard pad for flow through?

I started doing that but found out with the pads I would get SAP and fluff into the pull-up which made it a bit of a mess when changing the pad. Since the pads hold a lot on their own, and tend to have a lot of SAP, they swell up and it's easy to tell when they need to be changed. I think that the flow thru boosters actually work a bit better and they are much thinner to carry in your suitcase or pants pocket.

One tip here, I never remove much (if any) of the strip that covers the adhesive on the pads or boosters as it makes it more difficult to change one out without tearing the inner sheet of the pull-up. If you find the pad or booster is moving around too much you can remove just a very small amount of the cover strip without causing too much of a problem when you change.

Because you typically use a NS Lite then its seems like you are more likely to see Pull-ups be a viable option for those that need more performance very few Pull-ups cover the performance that I have found for heavier wetting, however in your case the NS goSupreme would be a likely great option as well as the Seni Super, both are comfortable and have good performance, I have not tested the Molicare mobile or Abena product but they also are very popular,

As for boosters, any product should be able to use a pass-thru booster, if they have standing leak guards I suggest you use a booster that is not as tall because thicker boosters can make the standing leak guards not perform as intended.
