Taking a trip to Disney this up coming month. Going to be going with my wife, her sister and husband. Also it will be my first time at an amusement park wearing any form of protection. So if anyone has any advice would be helpful

Two different approaches come to mind for this situation...

One idea is to simply wear the maximum protection available, hopefully something that will last you at least 8 hours or maybe even the whole day with just one diaper change. This would be something like a Betterdry or MegaMax, maybe even with a removable pad or booster. You might want to wear a backpack with an extra diaper just in case but be aware that the backpack will be searched. This won't be a problem for the security folks doing the search (they've seen it all) but it might be for you or your relatives.

The other idea is to wear a premium quality pull-up like a Abena Abri-Flex or Northshore Go or Flex Supreme with an added Male Guard Pad. At Disney there are bathrooms available everywhere so this combo will allow you to use the bathroom normally when possible but still be protected if you can't get to a bathroom in time. You will certainly need to carry several additional pads with you so you can change them out if they become full. The extra pads can easily be carried in your pockets (think cargo shorts) so they are very discreet and can easily be changed out quickly in a closed stall in the bathroom.

Personally I favor the second approach, especially if I expect to be out and about for more than 8-10 hours. This is due to the fact that a single diaper will be really large/heavy by the end of the day and possibly even quite noticeable. I've used the Pull-up and Pad approach many times in the situation you are describing and it has worked quite well for me. There are obviously a lot of other factors that have to be taken into account so these ideas may not work for you but hopefully this helps a bit.

My wife and I took our family to DisneyWorld several years ago. The handicapped/family toilets were always clean and handy when I needed them. My family are accustomed to the gym/diaper bag I carry everywhere, and security didn't bat an eye; they've obviously seen it many times before. Because I cannot enjoy many of the rides and amusements there, I packed along several books, which I read at locations where we had agreed to meet, usually outside restaurants. Rather than risk falling, I pretty much stayed in a wheelchair when I was outside of our room.

I recommend wearing a tape-on diaper. A major disadvantage of a pull-up is that you have to remove your pants and shoes to change. Even in very clean public washrooms, removing pants and shoes is a hassle that I prefer to avoid.

When I took my Nephew a few years ago I used a small backpack for my supplies.
They have lockers stationed around so you can store it in one of the lockers. The first day I had used a larger size backpack and I had trouble fitting it in a locker. If I remember right, I think the lockers were free to use. All you have to do is remember which one you used hehehe

I used a good tape-on diaper with snap-on plastic pants. It wasn't too hot when we went so the plastic pants didn't work like a sauna, and I could have the middle snaps on each side open for ventilation.

You are of course correct but in my recommendation you don't ever remove the pull-up, you are using it to hold the Male Guard Pads which are really doing all of the work and changing out just the pad as needed. The pad change may occur 3-4 times but it's easy to stash that many dry pads in a pair of cargo shorts. As I mentioned changing out just pads is super quick and takes just a few seconds in a regular bathroom stall, its quiet too. As a final backup the premium pull-up should take at least one or two wettings if it comes to that.

Hey! I worked in the Disney park in Paris and had any problem with my "diaper situation" because as some of you told, there´s plenty of bathrooms and usually very clean, they care about that. For the kind of product to use I wore Tena Maxi, I worked in attractions and it was 10 hours per day so if I could leave for a change if asked to (as my teamleaders knew about my incontinence) but I didn´t like to do it cause it disturbed the rotation of my workmates, but it was OK. The 15 months I Worked there I had no accident of clothes wet, nor anything. Anyway, schoppy inconinmiss and the others gave you good advices too, so it´s up to you making the choice.

On my 50th anniversary I went to Disney World. When my backpack was searched the guard did not say anything when he saw my disposable diaper. Do now worry about taking a diaper with you when you go into the parks.

When we went to Disney I put my spare diapers in large ziplock bags this way juring the bag searches security could check the bag and the diapers were kept clean and protected from any rings or watches that may catch the diaper.

I have found the following in my experiences:

* All diapers & pullups come apart (stuffing sloughs down into the crotch) after a few hours of walking. You will be walking all day in Disneyworld, so bring plenty of replacements in a small backpack. Plan on replacing every 3 hours at least. Maybe more, if convenient.

* They will look into your backpack at the entrance, and make no fuss about what they see.

* Pullups have little ability to hold up any weight. Do not count on them to support the weight of your additional pads, doublers, or shields. Most can't support their own weight once wet.

* Briefs are best- they support their own weight when wet much better. They will also absorb far more, if you choose the right one for your fit.
