How the tapes point will vary by body shape and were the leaks tend to happen for you.. if you find the leaks happen towards the front you may find that the bottom tapes need to be level or pointing lower this pulls the product UP in the front but can loosen in the back... if you find the leaks happen more in the back you may find that angling the tapes UP will help get a better seal the back of the brief.
many people will tell you the tapes MUST go one direction but really it depends on YOUR body!
the other issue each brand has a different cut so one brand will fit YOU better than another,
