So since leaving the hospital I have had a lot of discomfort with my digestion. Like I want to just lay down for hours after I eat because sitting up is painful. Standing helps to but my energy is next to nothing after I eat. Even jelly is bothering me. I have an appointment with my gastrointestinal on the 25th but I am thinking about going to the clinic if I still feel like this. I don’t think I should feel like this every time I have anything but water.

i have been diagnosed with it for confirmation you need a ct scan.

for anyone suffering with extreme bowel pain they are best going to a+e as it could be diverticulitis to any other bowel disorder and what ever it is, it needs to be treated asap.

mine was mistaken for uti as i have a catheter in and then one day it was so bad they sent me to hospital where a ct scan was performed which showed the medical condition.

when i get flare ups it can make me piddle myself the other downside is that it has gone down in to the rectum which causes soiling, i am due to undergo a sigmoidoscopy end of this month so i will know what the damage is and also to rule out bowel cancer.

if the pain is bad then take yourself off to a+e where they can look in to it.

Eating even a cracker, cheese, and ginger ale can give me belly pain, regurgitation and, if I'm asleep, vomiting. Abdominal pain can range from annoying to disabling, and all points in between. I am not suggesting that you too have GI paralysis; rather, get it checked by a physician, soon, and report back.

I spent 12 day in the hospital and even was back in on Monday. After eating anything it is painful to sit down which I have to do to work on school work. Monday the only thing that was found after a contrast ct was that I am not passing all the stool that is in my system. I left that night with tramadol and miralax. The thing is that the stool that I am not passing is getting trapped in diverticula. When I was admitted the first time for this I had a massive infection with abscesses that ended up having to be drained. I have and appointment with the GI doctor on the 25th but I am going to call them tomorrow to talk about the recent visit and treatment.

it is the trapped waste in the diverticula which can then result in diverticulitis or simple terms, the trapped waste causes infection.

mine first started in the lower right abdomen over the years the condition has got worse confirmed by ct scan and worse still very rare it has gone in to the rectum.

when you have no symptoms you can eat normal diet but if it is a flare up then you need to avoid certain foods until the condition is treated and subsides.

my last x-ray showed a mass of waste left side, put me in hospital for 2 weeks where sadly i suffered complications.

finally if the pain is bad make sure to see someone asap as the diverticula can actually rupture! for anyone with this medical condition it is just the pits.
