just my luck at the moment Monday evening sudden abdomen pain came on couldn't sleep at all got an appointment as the pain was just terrible and have only been diagnosed with acute kidney infection :|

treatment has started at home but if it doesn't improve over the next few days then it is off to hospital :(

Tuesday some nurse i saw only told me to get a catheter change and take simple pain killer eh she couldn't diagnose a duck good job i was able to see a doctor who knew what she was doing.

one poorly person now sat here off to bed in a bit.

I have had pain due to bladder and prostate infections. They are truly terrible. I hope the antibiotic the doctor prescribed will kick in soon for you. As for that nurse's recommendation that you change catheters, wow! Each of my infections was caused by a Foley.

Kidney infections are no joke and can be very painful I hope you recover quickly! the sickest I have ever been in my life was from a Kidney infection also, linked to a foley following a surgery...

many thanks for the kind messages.

the last time i was really ill was in 2008 when i also got infection of the prostate or prostatitus it put me in hospital for a week as my temp was 41 nearing coma. it took me many years to get over this.

the pain i am getting now is on a level or higher par than the shingles i got last year i wasn't ill with it but the pain was affecting my right lung, the rash was something else looked like i had burnt myself.

i really do hate what is going on now and am a bit concerned by the symptoms, can i ask how long your acute kidney infection lasted and also did you end up in hospital?

the only thing running fine is the catheter thank god :)

mike

Update well i ended up in hospital became really ill on Thursday.

had a ct scan and it wasn't the kidney but infection caused by diverticulitis

i was able to access my g.p records today and apparently from my last scan to the new one there seems to have been significant changes and was also shocked to find that even the rectum is now diseased which would explain the bowel incontinence i have been getting.

i have to go back to hospital around Christmas for bowel scope and the surgeon is going to take thing from there.

i have been in terrible pain since early last week with fever but glad to say today the antibiotics are kicking in and am starting to feel better still tender in my lower abdomen though.

as for hospital i was treated very fast blood tests first and was in bed with drips within 30 minutes of been seen it is a rigorous treatment for a few days before they then switch to tablets and back home to heal.

i am just gutted getting a bowel disease like this and seeing the changes from last year to now.

also worried that this could end up been a stoma situation.
