What other symptoms/conditions do you all have? It seems like incontinence is just one issue people are struggling with here. For me, I have been a chronic UTI sufferer (until I discovered D-Mannose supplement), have had 1 kidney stone, and suffer from mysterious hip joint pain which started at the same time as the incontinence about a month or so ago. The cause of these problems still baffles me. I'm not related to anyone with these issues so I don't know how I got them.

I have Interstitial Cystitis, IBS, neurogenic bladder, permanent lower back and neck injuries, among a few things typical with middle-age and being a bit overweight. the IC and IBS might be connected but not certain, I developed them around the same time (26) and mostly managed by diet. the neurogenic bladder stems from birth, the back and neck issues are all work related.

I have autonomic neuropathy which causes me a lot of problems. It is nerve damage to the involuntary functions of the body. Causes major issues. I have a loss of bladder and bowel control, hypertension, heart arrhythmia (sick sinus syndrome), swallowing dysfunction, GERD, IBS-c/d, asthma, joint problems and arthritis, bipolar disorder, & thyroid disease.

One thing about incontinence,...it's not life threating. Mental illness of all types is also cause of awareness and effects many people in many different ways.

Don,

Please disregard the message (PM) I sent you last month. No need to respond,...responding is voluntary,...sorry to have bothered you. The posting you made in the above answered the question, but I'm kinda surprised you didn't raise awareness of PTSD, and/or any other related mental illness that affects the lifestyle of an individual to include but not limited to incontinence. I know very little (as in almost nothing) about this type of disability, but perhaps those with first-hand knowledge, or those that "studied" the matter could, or would chime in with comments.

Just my thoughts.

Johnstone,
I don’t check pm’s. I have it all turned off. I keep mostly to myself and I don’t talk about such things. Also, for me to discuss the details of my mental health diagnoses would be highly inappropriate on a forum such as this.

The tumor is non-cancerous. Frequently such tumors are only discovered during autopsy. However, its location does exacerbate my situation. It contributes to light headedness, falling, and walking like a drunk.
