I see a nurse practitioner in about 45 minutes to get help with cathing. I'm trying it one more time and if I don't get it I'm done. I'm going to tell her how much I hate it and the stress it is putting me through. Here goes nothing.

Welp that sucked. I promised I'd work with her again next week. She said I made a lot of progress but I don't feel I did. She gave me the speech about if I don't do it I'll get infections and my kidneys will eventually be damaged. I hate this.

It took me many month to perfect it. Just stay with it, and once you learn to navigate your cath, it will seem so easy. I would suggest a coude tip, and trial as many differnt brands and models as you can. Your supplier should be willing to send samples. Some models I cant use, while other models slide right in without issue. I use a bard rubber coude with a single eyelet. Also, dont be alarmed if you see a little blood, that is normal when learning to cath. It took me many months till I was able to relaxe enough to not bleed when cathing. Using a coude, when the tip gets to my prostate, I trist the cath until it slips around. When you perfect it, it is well worth the frustration, believe me! You got this

Thanks roadracer. I just get so frustrated. With help I can do it but on my own forget it. I bled after too and that just makes me more uncomfortable.
