Spamming and inappropriate posts are a problem for any site and especially one dealing with diapers that attracts all kinds of the wrong attention! Our webmasters, Schoppy at this site and Brew at the Yahoo site, do a great job of keeping the boards clean and on-topic!

Let me touch on the differences on how each site is run.

Here, at the ISC, anyone can read the forum but they can't post anything without registering on a one time basis and when Schoppy OK's them, folks can post at will and the post goes up immediately.

At the Adult Incon Group you must join as a member; visitors can see our home page but cannot read any of the messages. You apply for membership, no big deal. Brew does insist on a letter of introduction but don't worry, it need not be 6 pages single spaced! LOL. A short note to the point, will do fine, stating why you wish to join Adult Incon. We have several moderators to provide an additional level of protection against spamming and inappropriate posting.

Still, once a member at Adult Incon, your posts will go up within 24 hours and often within 12 hours since we have moderators that are night owls and early birds.

I am Joe Kelly on this board and Joe Shaughnessy at the Adult Incon board and I really feel the two compliment one another with a great balance of information and lively discussion on topics of interest to all of us struggling with incon, whether that affliction be a new thing in our lives or something we've dealt with for a long time. We can always learn from the experiences of others and I (long in the tooth and grey haired) continue to learn from the great folks at each of these great incon sites!

Joe K has referenced this site in the above post for some time. Many members on this site use a condom type catherter. Any one having questions about them may want to join this group and post a question there. ..........Paul Martin

I too am a member of the Adultincon Yahoo group. ITs a great site with lots of wonderful members.

I think its important for people to check out multiple sites when they want to get information on any subject, like incontinence.

No one site has all of the information that people need. And different people use different methods to deal with their incontinence. Thats why there are sites like this one and the yahoo site. Where people can go to and receive good information so that hopefully they can manage their own incontinence in a way thats best for them.

Thank you, Schoppy, for endorsing Brew's Adult Incon on Yahoo. It's a bit of a hassle since you have to go thru the joining thing but, just as you have to join here in order to post, it DOES keep the spammers and other undesirables out....so we can enjoy a legit board and be free of flaming and name calling and obsenity!

Incon boards seem to have individual character....I really feel you come away with different info or the spin on the info. Some old timers here will remember Beeter's board that morphed and Shoppy split off and started this board while the "orginal" went to Brian who runs a disposable diaper business. I went there for a while, but it lacked something and now I only visit this site and Brew's site as they compliment one another nicely and we have great people running each site and really great memberships that get involved and post.

Sandy and Paul have done great things for this site....I think one of the threads is up over 8000 views.....that's incredible. It is so nice to read material that is both instructional and entertaining!

I apologize again for my spotty attendence; unless I have a reasonably fast connection....which is not very often!....it is too difficult to navagate the multiple pages here....you know the story about watching paint dry, right? Well, that's what it's like on most days!
