Hello everyone. Up until now, I have wore protection if I was going to be more than 15 seconds away from a toilet. Meaning I wore them out, or kept them on if I was going back out and they were still fresh. I have not been wearing them at home as I like to give the "boys" a chance to breathe. This meant that while I usually made it to the toilet at home I had the occasional trail along the floor. Not a problem in my house as I don't have carpeting. This spring I will be moving though. Into an apartment. With light colored carpeting. And my wife has told me that I need to give in and start wearing protection all the time. This is for two fold reasons. One, I cannot leave urine trails along a rented apartment. The odor alone would become obscene. Second... Well.... I apparently leak more than I thought. My wife tells me that my night clothes take on an odor quickly. I was not aware that I leak as much as I do. This amount has been confirmed by the last few days of 24/7 wearing. I was wet when I did not think I had wet. Not a gusher, but leaky. So, I guess I just wanted to update/commiserate/ grumble. Especially as my wife is once again right in telling me to start wearing my diapers 24/7. I don't know if I should complain, be thankful, or write this down and send to Penthouse Forums....

DedDude, your wife is quite correct. There is no excuse for leaking urine throughout our house regardless of the type of flooring.

I do sympathize, but it is time to diaper up full-time. :( All of us on ISC have been there and understand your reluctance. Be thankful that your diapers provide an easy solution. Think how much more difficult it would have been as little as 60 years ago.

Your situation is similar to mine. Although I do use the bathroom as often as I can, I nevertheless leak continually. Wearing protection is merely being a responsible adult.

I agreee it is difficult you are not alone with this rest assured the more you wear the easer it becomes.

To resist the temptation to revert back I donated my old underwear to charity for textile recycling and made my transition so much easer.

Life for me is so much more easer now especially as the UK is having more "Changing Places" installed happy days!

This is a great resource http://www.incontinentsupport.org/primer_index.php

Take care and all the best.

I talked to my wife about going to diapers 24/7, and we made the decision together. It helped greatly having her support. It sounds like you have that same support from your wife, which should make the transition much easier for you.

Sigh.... I have to wear the damn diapers... But do you think she is agreeable when I say I should at least get to breastfeed at will? NO! Then I get the "WIFE" look..... Joking folks... Joking.

John is full of wisdom. It is definitely time for you to join the ranks of us who wear 24/7. Totally understand your hesitation, but once you get used to it, it becomes second nature. Best of luck to ya...

Deddude, Humor and being able to laugh (at ourselves) definitely helps with this. Support (from anywhere) and from the wife helps even more. Last Christmas my wife bought me a footed sleeper, half as a joke and half because we are always fighting over the thermostat. i like it warm she likes it cold. I was still I'm my cloth night diapers/plastic pants and bathrobe. i tried it on and two mins later my youngest son was at door knocking - an hour early for Christmas dinner. i started to run away but realized he had seen me anyway. just in the pj. we let him in and all had laugh, he does not know i wear diapers, still dosent. had a scare and laughs. Keep laughing. Papa
