later development of incontinence

For those members that have incontinence due to prostate surgery, can it develop years later after being dry for several months/years. I think I read somewhere that it could happen? Just curious. I really hate this feeling of uncertainty. I have days where I think I have made some progress, and ease up on my use of protection, and then days when I wish I would have worn a diaper. How, or when will I know? Will this be my new normal?
