Good Morning/Afternoon/Evening.

I'm just introducing myself to everyone. I suffer from OAB, and an enlarged prostate. I'm 34 and slowly been losing control. (More rapidly lately). I'm looking for people like me to help me navigate this issue. I typically don't have any shame, and the same goes for this. I have been diapered off and on since I was 27 and now its looking like it may become a full time thing. I have a urologist, and just did ultrasounds of my kidneys and bladder on Tuesday. Waiting for those results. Next is a cystoscopy. I work part time in a coffee shop, but my incontinence is starting to limit that. Its hard to spend so much time in the bathroom when you know you are falling behind on your work. Wearing a diaper to work, may not sit well with management. They'll look at it as a hygene thing. So i just run to the bathroom 10-15 times in a 5 hour shift. I'm also on SSDI for Major Depression and Generalized Anxiety Disorder. I used to have diapers shipped to me from a supplier with medicaid, but they didn't fit right and were uncomfortable. So I stopped that. I ended up buying my own with my own money. Currently wearing Tranquility ATN's and Wellness Superios. Looking to branch out and find something different.

Anyways, I just wanted to say hello. Hope everyone has a good day!

Welcome to the group Dillpickle!

All of us here share many of the same concerns and you will find a lot of helpful and very knowledgeable people.

It is good that you have begun urological testing. While the tests are a bit annoying and mildly unpleasant, they are essential for your understanding of your medical situation, as well as for your urologist. They helped me learn what my limits are and what to expect.

Re work, if you wear a diaper (and do it correctly) there is absolutely no reason why anyone else should know. If other people can tell you are wearing a diaper, you are doing it wrong. :( With a premium diaper (and perhaps a booster pad) you should be able to make it through a five-hour shift with no problems. As long as you can do your job, your employer has nothing to say about your wearing a diaper and you have legal protection. In fact, based on what you have said, wearing an effective diaper should cause your work efficiency to increase! :D

Hello. I would like to second what JD said. I have worked in the grocery industry before specializing in raw meats, seafood, and produce. I have Neurogenic bladder and bowel so I'm double incontinent like many here. I have worn diapers for about 10 years and have never had them get in the way of my employment. I use Abena X-plus with an abri-let booster. This combination catches everything. I don't work anymore due to health reasons but when I did, I just kept a backpack in my locker with spare supplies and changed on my breaks. I keep very clean and change often. When it came to handling food, I made sure I ALWAYS washed my hands all the way up past my wrists. I washed when I left the restroom and then again after entering my department from touching the door handles. I also made sure to wear approved gloves when handling raw food. You can do it you just have to be careful and follow food safety protocol. Also, your incontinence is none of your managers business. This should not effect your job.

Add my welcome to those above. There is no substitute for management skill. Good luck and keep us informed.

Hello, I know exactly the pain of running to toilet all the time, even if you sit at you diaper. Good thing that now after a lot of years worked I'm usually working as an consultant or delegated to home so I can work at home, but even though I kind of liked my desk work and after few years of getting used to pissing in diaper and changing it constantly it stopped to even bother me as much, sometimes I'm staying with my colleagues on purpose, because spending your time in home is pretty much boring. Anyway, welcome and it's good that you are not so shy about your problems and you know how to stand your ground, it's something that took me a while to achieve!
