Hey everyone i wanted to drop by and let everyone know what is going on... as i states about 3 weeks ago i stepped out of my van and felt something pop in my back, I was able to get into the back Doc fairly quickly who refused to do scans and wanted to do steroids insisting it was probably a soft tissue injury and he gave me steroids for 7 days and to call or email if there was no change... so now with screaming sciatic pain i emailed him and told him i need a MRI before we proceed any father as i am sure this is one hell of a bulge or herniation. The pain has been so bad at times that i have been retaining urine... and having to go back to straight caths as needed... my wife asked if a Foley would be easier...bless he heart....

With all this going on I finally got scheduled with my new VA Doc at the end of the month only took me calling them weekly for the last 3 weeks. persistence does pay off granted its not with Seattle that is only 25 miles away i get drive up north like 45 miles to Mount Vernon WA. I guess that will be easier as i can do the drive and not deal with traffic and be there fairly quickly... Now only if my navy medical records show up soonish would be awesome....

Sciatica can be excruciatingly painful. Good luck finding a doctor who knows what to do and does it for you.
