I think I may be getting a uti. My bladder feels irritated and I'm leaking alot more. I've been drinking water, so that's not the cause. I wonder if it may be caused by wettness, which I suspect caused my other uti's. I'll know if I definitley have it when I leak alot at night. Hopefully this is not the case, but how can I prevent it at the onset. These are not fun.

LtsofQues,
I don't know if you received any help or advise from anyone on your UTI, but I hope you're doing well! On your last post, it seemed you were really suffering. Keep in touch, and let us know how you are! .....Paul Martin

Yes this is a really bad one. Usually when I get one it reoccurs several times. Not sure what causes it though.

For UTI's, drink cranberry juice. :!:
I get the Ocean Spray brand pure cranberry juice.
Its great to treat UTI's. Helps clear them right up and helps prevent them too.
When I get a uti, I will drink about a gallon of cranberry juice each day, seams to clear it up real fast. :D
But I do recomend talking to your DR about it.

Thanks. I had cranberry juice and antibiotics. What really helped was this product the health food store suggested which is called d-mannose. It's better today and I didn't have any problems but still leaking alot. For the last three days all I did was pee and it kept me in the house. Going out would have been a risk. I think the medication was getting rid of the bacteria and this is how it worked. I think these infections are part of what caused the problems to begin with. I suspect that the humidity and wetness brought it on this time. When you leak and wear better protection you can't always tell when you're wet and I think this can be a problem as well.

I think my uti is gone. I didn't leak too much to day and no accidents. Sometimes I can feel my bladder getting full and when I have more time I can make it as long as I go before I get a major urge. One reason I think my muscles are weak is that at a certain time, when a normal person would have an urge and be able to hold for awhile, that is when its going to be too late for me. I wonder if there is a link between this and uti's.

For the most part I'm feeling better but still have some bladder pain and extra leaking? Is this normal? Maybe with every uti you lose more control and it never comes back.

I don't know if a UTI can make your incontinence worse, but I'll ask my uroligist the next time I see him.
LtsofQues, weren't you going to see a uroligist? Did you ever see one? .........Paul
