Anyone use these? I bought a 15 pack to give them a shot and had a major leak in bed last night. I really like the plastic as opposed to cloth. My current night time diaper is Seni Quatro, I just wish they were plastic. I find the cloth stretches over night and they're almost falling off me in the morning. Out of some 40 or so that I've worn I only leaked once at night with them and it was not that bad.
On my second night in the Northshores, I leaked big time. I'm hoping it's just a one off because I really like the fit with these. It seems to have mostly leaked out the top front, but I was "pointing down".
Well that's a surprise. Nortshore diapers with a good fit are not know for leaking. It's possible the top folded out which effectively exposed the padding and allowed it to leak out. Try folding to top 1/2" of the diaper down and inside. This will help prevent that from happening and also act as a sort of dam that will redirect any urine back in towards the center of the diaper. Also make sure the diaper is snug at the top waist band. Just enough to get about 4 fingers under the band (without sucking it in) should be about right.
Yeah it's definitely leaking out the top when it folds over. Part of it is my gut. The diaper tends to try to ride down under my "shelf" and fold over on itself. Just another reminder that I still have more weight to lose. Seni's and Abenas do this too but both of those brands have more "dead space" between the padding and top of the waistline. They don't seen to fold over outwardly like the Northshores do.
I'm going to have to abandon this brand for a while, at least until I lose weight. Too bad, because they seen to hold a gallon. But what's the point if they leak out the top?
I'll stick with Seni for now and should be able to get into medium Abenas in another month or two if I keep losing weight at this clip.
