so as some of you are aware, i wear atn's because thats what my insurance covers. i called northshore and they told me i needed size large boosters cause i wear size large atn's. these were too big (they went over the leak guards). so they sent me samples of medium and small. the small are too small and the medium seems to fit ok they are just kinda small length wise. the large would have been great had they not been too big width wise. i went ahead and had them send me mediums since that is what was the best, but was wondering whats the best way to position them so i get the most absorbancy? i have female anatomy (im transgendered) so i was wondering what the best positioning would be. thanks! |

Hi justej Having male anatomy my booster pad is positioned more to the front of my diaper so it absorbs the most. Greenbank |

I always position my boosters in the front of the All in One pad covering the front. |

Justj, position the booster where you need the most absorbency - in your case more toward the rear than for male anatomy. In addition to not overlapping the leak guards, booster pads perform better if room is left for a "gutter" on each side between the pad and the standing leak guards. This allows more urine to be in contact with the mat of the diaper while also being absorbed by the booster pad. It also reduces the risk of overflowing the leak guards once the booster pad has increased in height with absorbed liquid. --John |

Hey just eh, For booster pads you may need to fold them into your diaper or brief to get the best fit |

Justej, sorry to see you came to the same conclusion much of us have also found. Cheap diapers are just not worth it no matter how you try and compensate for them. As unfortunate and costly as it is, you're likely going to have to find a way to get better diapers (that actually work). I don't know, submit an appeal to them, or if that doesn't work maybe you can get a medicade lawyer to force the system to get you what you need. What ever the solution, GOOD LUCK. |

Justeh You may have to do a bit of origami with a booster pads to get it fit within leak guards comfortably. So if it is too wide, you may try folding the sides out to maximize absorbency and get the most comfortable fit. Lengthwise generally should not be an issue- if it is just fold it in. |
