i was standing in the kithen airing out when all the sudden i just started peeing.
i have come to terms with the fact that i have no control whatsoever.
i had no sensation, nothing.
its a bit defeating.

ej, I'm sorry about this new development. At least (I assume) you were in an area where cleanup was quick and easy. Although it's not a cure, you might want to take intermittent bathroom breaks throughout the day when you're at home so as to lessen the frequency of accidents when you're not wearing a diaper. Also, Kegels do help somewhat, but they take a while to become effective and you need to keep doing them. The upside is that they're free (no specialized clothing/equipment/gym membership to buy), not strenuous, and convenient, as they are well-suited to multitasking.

No offense, but I've found the toilet actually isn't a great place to air out. The point is to get your skin to dry out at least a little, but the inside of a toilet bowl doesn't exactly allow for much of a breeze.

To speed things up I lay on my bed under a ceiling fan. I also use a baby diaper to catch any leaks or spurts. It only needs to last for a few minutes, then I'm dried out plenty good.

I'd recommend most anyone give something similar a try too.

CLARIFICATION: I meant that ej should periodically take time during the day to empty his bladder into the toilet - not to sit on the toilet and air out.

Not defeated, just a change in direction.

Justj,

It happens to most of us. Don't be overly concerned.

I always air out while sitting on an absorbent pad - just in case. Some just sit on a diaper so that if they leak they can tape it up. Although I still have some control, I practice timed voiding the same way, always sitting on a pad as sometimes I suddenly will find that I am leaking.

If airing out or practicing timed voiding I have to be careful to avoid my "triggers," running water, etc.

That brings up a good point. Try purposely triggering a void just before you intend to air out. This way, the chance of an accident will be reduced for a short while there after.
