Well it has finally happen. I will be traveling with a coworker next week. The trip will last about 8 hours with minimal stops as most of it is on a turnpike where there are few and far between rest stops. Plus, she is a little noisy and I know will ask a lot of questions if I end up having to change during the trip. I am hoping that the premium diapers I bought will hold up while on the road and the 2 days I am on site with her. Than another 8 hours back. Here's to keeping my fingers crossed on this trip.

Definitely go with the premium diapers. You may want to consider also using a booster pad as well. When it gets wet enough (but before you diaper gets soaked too much), you can take it out during a "potty break". This will effectively and discretely extend your usable time in that same diaper. Or if possible, change it out to extend it even more.

Either way, make sure you bring an extra change on hand with you (in a briefcase, backpack, whatever). Don't risk going without that backup even if you think you don't need it. Murphy's law will make you regret it.

I would also consider an added liner, even a cloth insert, and monitor your fluids while on the road, a premium should be enough to get you there. A good fitting cover pant & compression shorts would also be wise, helps with any possible odor issues. :-) Puffy

Well the first day went with little incident. didn't like dehydrating myself, but it helped. The only incident I had was the same that happen to msshendo a few days ago, but not as bad. I guess our first stopped when I pulled the diaper down in front, I didn't notice something was in the way of the stream as the front of my pants was a little wet. I didn't find this out till the next rest stop. At least it was dark pants and my shirt covered it. Now in the hotel room and re-hydrating myself. Going to have to go back to the store and get more bottle water. I sure was trusty.

On a good note, forgot she is a smoker and needs her fix. So without revealing to much, I just said you take as many smoke breaks as needed and that will allow me to go to the bathroom when I need to and stretch my legs.

Well back home. It went well and I was able to work around the accidents. I will say not drinking my normal amount of water, my urine definitely had a stronger smell to it. Glad I was able to get through it.

Glad it worked out for you, but please do not make it a habit of dehydrating yourself ever time you go on a trip. Maybe next time you should consider diapering up a little more so you can stay healthy at the same time as the trip.
