I just want to say I hate pull ups! Tried one out for 20 minutes, not good for me. Hope everyone is having a good evening.

Don't hate them, wish I could use them, and I'm having a GREAT DAY! :)

Pull-ups have their pros and cons like all forms of protection. I agree with some of the criticism. They tend to sag when wet but they are also easily concealable under clothing and suited well for people who are not completely incontinent as going to the toilet is easier with no opening and re-adjusting of tabs needed. I prefer tab-fastened products, they are easier to change when the need arises and are also relatively cheaper.

I'm 38, and have worn pull-ups sporadically since my late twenties. During the last year and a half, it's been more like 24/7. They work really well if you are able to use them in conjunction with timed voiding. I schedule 5-7 voids throughout the day. I use the pull-up for anything that happens in between. For example, I have almost constant dribbling between 5AM and 9AM. It slows down a little after that. Holding to a voiding schedule ensures that these remain dribbles rather than surges. I've been experimenting with fitted briefs (Abena Delta Form). The whole tape situation causes problems with my voiding regimen. I find myself saying fugetaboutit, and just going in the diaper. Personally, I've pretty much decided to stay with pull-ups. It's pretty obvious that they don't work for everyone, but they work for me. The one thing I really like about briefs is how easy they are to change.

I've always preferred pull-ups, too - for both day and night use.

I wished I could wear pull-up's, they are a lot closer to under wear and are so comfortable. It made for a bad for me as well, plus my pants and a doctors office chair. Thank God for my wife's quick thinking to hind the whole mess. Its all a part of the learning curve I guess.

Hi

I tried pull-ups too and they were sadly not for me. I settled on Molicare as I found that the Premium Soft Super if fitted correctly (in conjunction with compression/stretch and waterproof pants) can actually be use as a pull-up for those times that one can use the loo in the normal way. The tabs can be refastened for a snug fit if needed.

Having a great day the sun is at last out and makes one happy.

Personally for me I do use pull ups for work for the first part of the day, but when/if I need to change I use a standard taped brief, as stripping down all my clothes in my job is rarely feasible so putting on a brief is a lot easier and I'm usually sorted for the rest of the day unless it's a really bad which luckily is not often. A pull up for me gives me a good freedom of movement and when I can use the toilet it does make life a bit easier as a brief is a faff for that! What I'm getting it there is a time and a place for their uses and with me it's sometimes dependant on what I'm doing.
