i have 2 packs of northshore left and i only have about 35 dollars in cash to my name.
with being (more or less) dry for a hot minute, i didnt plan this month to be buying diapers.
what can i do?

Thats the problem with incontinecec that fluctuates.. you never know when it will come back and youll be needing diapers again. That's why I've just decided to plan on always wearing proteciton no matter what. Id rather be dry and waste diapers, then have a spell and wet my pants. Justej, you might want to look into trying the pocket diapers that I talked about under "Cloth diapering revisited..pocket diapers" in the how do you deal with your incontiennce forum. I will be sure to let you know if they work for me when they get here. I still am waiting for a while for them to get here. The orders are hand made... so..

hi rob,
i cant afford pocket diapers. i can barely afford disposables. $40 per diaper is just too expensive, plus laundry on top of that. i live in an apartment so i have to pay to do laundry.
i tried cloth (check out the post i just made) and it didnt work out. dont know if i ordered the wrong size or what, but couldnt get them to fit right. i dont have the money to be trying cloth, so disposables it is for me.
my shipment from xp medical should be here on saturday.

I had that same experience about the fit when I ordered from Angel Fluff Diaper Co, and I even worked with a customer service representative to get the fit right. Sigh, money wasted.

Justej, if you don't mind my asking, are you by chance on Medicaid? If you are, then in certian states Medicaid pays for disposable diapers if they are prescribed by a doctor. That's how I get attends every month. I use those for around the house protection right now and pay for out of the house disposables and extended wear out of pocket. It does help some of the cost, if not all of it.

Oh, i should have used the term incontinence supplies instead of jsut diapers..i actually get more than diapers per moth.. I get 1 case plus a bag of attends 8, 3 packages of blue pads,3 packages of liners(boosters/diaper doublers), 1 pack of wipes, 1 tube of rash cream, and one pair of waterproof spartan overpants, all with no copay.

Normally I wear Purity flat cloth diapers and plastic pants.

Living in an earth quake area, I know if a major jolt hits, water supplies can be disrupted. For this reason, we always keep at least 4 cases of Abena Form XPlus disposable diapers in the attic.
