I am in a mental healing process, and after more than 15 years of therapy, I am in the stage where I am drying up.
It has been two steps forward and one back, sometimes three steps back.
Now I have reached the point where I can say goodbye to tena slip, and only use tena pants.
Tomorrow someone from a nursing home are going to pick up my Tena slips and the boosters.
I have not used them since easter, so now I am confident enough to take the chance.
There is still an open back door, as my GP will provide new ones if I relapse.
Slowly I try get used to drying up. As I have been incontinent for 22 years, this is a big change...
I feel like a three year old with training pants...

Three Cheers! Hip, Hip Hooray! Hip Hip Hooray! Hip, Hip, Hooray!

I am happy for you optimist. I wish my control was returning.. For a brief time it did, but it was too hard for me to maintain.. I am still optimisic. When I got home yestreday, my diaper was still dry..but that morning i had an episode that caused the diaepr to flood. I think mainly that dry days are more due to lack of proper hydration (Bad Rob! Bad Rob! Drink more water!) than anything else. It's not that I intentionally dehydrate, its just that with my ADHD, its hard sometimes to remember to do it. Unfortuantely, my urologist has told me that my neurgenic bladder is of the underactive variety. I'ts not like OAB where you get a oh my god I gotta go NOW feeling every 30 minutes. No, I can go several HOURS without urinating and not feel a thing.. and then I feel one coming on, and i try to stop it.. and it comes on anyway :( So even though i m dry for a good potion of the day, i dare not go without protection because i never know when the floods will come. I'm ok though.. my underwear does NOT NOT NOT define me!

Peace out!

Rob
