so we are supposed to get 8 inches of snow tonight/tomorrow and of course bad weather happens when im supposed to have my first urologist appointment. :roll:
hopefully i can get to the appointment because her next one isnt until april.
keep your fingers crossed for me!

metro access is suspended because of the snow tomorrow. which means im going to miss my appointment.
i think im going to cry.

That sucks man..hang in there ok? Heres to hoping you have fair weather and that you make it to the one in April. I'm curious, where abouts do you live..you don't have to tell me a specific city if you don't want to, just a general region. Reason I ask is I live in Northern MI, and to us, 8 inches isn't anything to write home about at all.. back in '95 we got a whopping 6 feet of snow! School was cancelled for a week, and they had to bring in the National Guard. We haven't had such a record breaker since.. The average yearly snowfall here is 136 inches.. The city I live in is dubbed one of the snowiest places in Michigan..

So, I'm guessing you live in a region where they are not used to snow much at all.. in that case, hang in there buddy...winter wont last forever!

thanks rob.
i live in dc. im from indiana and people here freak out at a snow flake.
it will cost me too much to take a cab (snow emergency? come on!)
and since i have a broken leg i cant take anything but metro access.
its just really frustrating because i was hoping to start getting answers.

Only 10 days away. Judging by the snow y'all got I would be surprised if it was only essential personnel at the hospital.

I know it is changing the subject, all it takes here in Oklahoma is 2 inches of snow and everything shuts down. The problem is the snow melts than becomes ice. Doesn't matter what vehicle you drive when it is ice.

Batman, it gets icy everywhere during about snow season, but here in OK they don't have salt trucks or real plows.

I agree that when it snow here they have to shut down, but not because the snow it fundamentally different in its nature, more because we don't know how to deal with it.
