Ouch! That sounds painful.

Believe it or not, they even have botox injections for bowel incontinence. I believe it is injected into the sphincter muscle.

I think in your case the injections will be into the back of the bladder wall itself. The desired effect is it will calm the the bladder enough to stop the excessive signals to go and may stop your post void dribbling. Down side is if they don't give it in the right place or give too much, your bladder will not be able to push out the urine and will put you into retention. If that happens, you will need to self catch or wear a Foley till the botox wears off.
Plenty of people swear by it.
Hope this helps.

I had this done quite a long time ago before they used botox. At that time they used phenol which does more or less the same thing. I didn't notice much difference though even though I had multiple treatments. Mind, I have no knowledge of my bladder's working, directly, due to paralysis and so on.

A lot of people do well with this though so its worth a go, When I had it done I was asleep so no pain etc at the time though I gather the first one or two voidings can be 'sore'.

Prior to my sphincterotomy, I had a series of botox injections into my urinary sphincters and bladder wall. Although the injections performed pretty much as advertised, my reaction to the anesthesia forced me to accept home health assistance the next day after each botox appointment. My problem with botox was that the effect wore off a little shorter time after each successive shot, so that the shot I got on April, 1999, had worn off by July. The sphincterotomy cured that, permanently, in August, 1999.
