Hey all,

Since in an unfortunate twist of fate, my problems have resurfaced, i went ahead and called my Medicaid supplier to lift the hold I had on my incon supplies.. she said you should see the fed ex man in the next day or two.. well, today, when i woke up i went down to the lobby to see if the package was there, or wait to see if the fed ex guy was gonna show up. I went down there and saw,yes indeed it had arrived. And the first thing i noticed was that instead of sending it in one neat big package like they did in July.. there were two packages bound together. The box with the 4 attends was on the outside. Not exactly discreet, since the attends box does have the size and quantity of the order. It does'nt take much research to put`2 and 2 together to figure out that these arediapers...especially since one of the hanndle holds was open, and just happened to show instructions on how to put the brief on.. Ok, im not going to say I'm totally embarraased, because Lord knows ive brought up bags of attends from my car before, but I did it in away to make sure no one was around. So that part wasnt a big deal. But the worst part was the second box wasnt even taped shut. Anyone in my apartment building could have lifted the box on top and looked in there and seen everything that was in there. My kind neighbor brought it in from the foyer, and she said it was already like that. For all i know, the bags could have fallen out when she dragged the shipment in.

Yes, I do plan to call, but should I just simply inform them of what happened, or should I complain loudly(in a nice way)? It does seem to me at the very least they should have taped the second box shut before binding it to gether. Or they could have shipped some of the supplies in a second box. That would have been nice, neat discreet. This wouldn't be as big of an issue if I was still living with my parents, but I live in a high rise, and there are other people here, and I want to keep a lid on this as much as possible. Any thoughts would be appreciated.

Peace out!

Rob

I have had that happen even when ordering from a medical supply house with a stated policy that all incontinent supplies would be shipped in discreet, plain boxes. Then I had a case of Molicare Super Plus diapers arrive in a marked box. I complained but all the company said was that as the box had been shipped for them directly from the manufacturer the plain box promise did not apply!!

Call them up and voice your dissatisfaction.....remember that they work for you and you could always take your business elsewhere......

In a nice way, I would let J & B know how I feel about the manner they sent items. Without saying any more to J & B, I would take my business elsewhere. The are MANY companies that would like to earn your business and offer discreet shipping at VERY reasonable prices including FREE shipping. Shop around some and I'm sure you will find a company that you like. I have experienced similar situations and its been less of an issue then I thought. In some ways I guess you could call it "damage control", but the best thing to do is say nothing to anyone that may have noticed your incon supplies (diapers), and don't worry about it. Even if some one did look inside the open case and now knows it contain diapers so what? If that is the worse thing that ever happens to you in your life I would like to trade places with you. One thing I'm almost certain of, if anyone does know you received a shipment of diapers they will most likely NEVER say anything to you, or anyone else they don't want to be embarrassed either, or sound like they are spreading gossip about the medical needs of others. Don't worry about, forget about and move on.

Thanks for the input John and PB... you guys are partially right when you say I can go take my business elsewhere... namely, theres a reason why i went ahead and got diapers from Medicaid again in the first place: with my low budget, which is about to get even lower since now I'm going to be working part time at walmart, I can't afford to spend upwards of 80 dollars on cases every month, or even to go back to buying bags of attends from the local pharmacy 2 bags every other week. I got away with that when i was working fulltime night shift, but now i'm working part time. Also, J & B Medical has the contract for Medicaid diaper supplier, and last time i checked, they were the only ones that do. So, the only realistic options i have at this point, assuming the incontnence doesn't get resolved easily..which is a fair bet, seeing as how im having reoccourances AGAIN after a l ittle more of a month being dry... I'd either have to stick with J & B, or start wearing cloth all the time.. not a practical option for me especially since im subsitute teaching. It could very well be that they had a new person packaging at the warehouse... i donlt know.. but i dont really have a choice if i want medicaid to cover my diapers.. I suppose if enough peopple complained about j and B, they would no longer have the medicaid contract.... In that way, they would lose a lot of buisness...

Peace out!

Rob
