Hi all,
A little while ago I posted a subject in which I started that my incontinence is not too bad. And that's indeed still the case, really. I don't have problems every day , but it goes wrong once or twice at night during the week. During the day I wear pads for men (molimed for men). Yesterday evening I tried some other brand and was sure all was under control and I had no upcoming urgency. Well, I was wrong. While sitting in the living room I just couldn't hold it. My underwear wet, my pants slightly wet (not really noticeable). It's sooo frustrating sometimes, I just want to scream out of frustration. But you just don't do it, I don't want to bother others and want to keep it relative low profile (my wife supports me tremendously and I don't want to push it). So frustrating, aaaahhhh....

Bob

Bob, i hear you.. i wear briefs 24/7 but don't use them exclusively, still have enough control to use the toilet sometimes, but have found most pullups woefully inadequte for daily use..and just had my first aggravating leak myself.. as far as wanting to scream.. i hear u there too..when i first had the issue recur about 5 weeks ago, i wanted to and did screamed... but now i dont get frustrated.. i just deal with it..maybe ull get there too.. hang in there friend!

Just a note re pull-ups - I wear taped diapers almost exclusively but have found one pull-up to stand out against the rest. That is the Tranquility Premium Overnight pull-up - Note: this is not their daytime Tranquility pull-up and is not the same as their ATN taped diaper. Although advertised for "overnight" I have found that for daytime wear it is quite good. It has good internal standing leak guards which are effective for bowel incontinence, absent in many pull-ups. For light incontinence these may be quite adequate. Although advertised for "overnight" they are a very discreet diaper which should not be noticeable despite wearing work or athletic attire.

As I am cautious, I wear plastic pants (Gary PUL) over any diaper when out of the home. With the Tranquility pull-up and plastic pants you should be reasonably leak-proof for light incontinence. If you need a little more protection, others previously have suggested wearing a pair of cotton underplants over the diaper but under the plastic pants to absorb minor leaks. Otherwise, it might be necessary to move up to a taped diaper.

Bob,

Don't feel alone with this. Reading your post, it sounds like an echo from my not so distant past. I recall the frustration of when a pull on was no longer working for me and leaving wet spots on my pants and chairs at least two to three times a week.
If things are happening that often then its time to change products. Either move to a pull on all the time or look for a tape on that will work for your needs. I know it sucks to have to give in to it but trust me, you will feel more confident and happy knowing you are protected and your leaking is not a spectical for everyone to see.

Good luck and be strong.

When I started wearing protection I tried the pull-up and had many a leak and accident so gave up. When I resorted to proper diapers as much as I did not want to with the whole stigma thing I must admit so far (that has temped fate) no leaks so swings and roundabouts for me!

I can share the feeling. I used to wear a man guard, but would end up leaking so I had to switch to briefs. For now they seem to work well. This last weekend I was on the road and felt the urge to go so the next truck stop I went in and could not believe the entire man's bathroom was closed for cleaning. All that was open was 2 private bathrooms with a line. I was already doing the dance waiting for my turn and sure enough I couldn't hold it anymore. At that point all I could think to myself was please don't leak. I am in the middle of a truck stop full of guys. All I need now was for my protection to fail and have wet pants. Luckily, the only thing that got wet was my underwear before I could get into the bathroom.
