At the beginning of my process with wearing diapers regularly during the day and not just at night, I used to leave them out in my bedroom, stacked on a small counter next to my bed. I once had to do the dump-the-glass-of-water-in-my-crotch-thing one day at lunch with my coworkers when I found out the hard way that my cat (complete with claws) had been playing with or sharpened his claws on the diaper on the top of the stack sometime during the night which I unwittingly put on in the morning without noticing the numerous small holes he had punctured in the outer shell.

When I got home later that day, I found several more destroyed diapers around the stack where he had apparently been having a jolly old time playing that afternoon. Diapers now in closet, cat banned from closet. And I learned to give a quick scan for any sign of damage before putting one on now just in case. My boss who knows about my incontinence and who has been very supportive of me said to me later, "I'm guessing that was intentional. Well played".
