Hello friends, My sampler pack from XP medical arrived today. I sampled medium size of A+ level 3, A+ level 4, Tena slip maxi, and Dry 24/7, now know ans confidry. while i havent yet had a chance to test absorbency, since my incontinence episodes are kind a hard to make happen on command (that is, afer all why its called incontinence ) i have tried on a few to test fit, and on some level discretion. I have tried on the tena slip maxi, the dry 24/7 and the a+ 3. some intial obesrviations: as i thought, the tena slip fit just like tena ultra did..so i think i have a keeper here..not sure how to handle the cost though..these are quite pricey. they are anything i could hope for in an adult brief.. and easy to slide down for toilet use.. which, to me is important even in an extended wear breif, because while one might plan to use the brief for urination.. he would probably not want to use it for no 2..obviously. So, they slide down nice and easy for that. actually, so far, all the ones i tried slip down easily too. I can already tell with the dry 24/7 id want a onsie for support.. One could say that AP level 3 isnt exactly extende wear, but i thought id give em a try too..the real interesting thing with these is that the wings are cut at an angle rather in a square.. anyone else notice this? Or wait.. its not in the other breif.. just the one i tried on.. I have yet to try on the a+4.. The verdict? Tena Slip: DEFINETLY if i can afford them somehow. Absorbency plus: POssible, if i need an economical alternative and i can conceal them easily Dry 24/7: Possibly, if i need more protection than the tena slip maxi. Peace out!

Sociologygeek, Absolutely agree with your observations about the samples from XPMed. One point about the Tena Slip Maxi - although it would be preferable for you not to have a bowel movement in the diaper, for those of us who often do, its internal leak guards contain the feces effectively until we can change. When purchased from XPMed by the case, the Tena Slip Maxi and the Abena Abri-form X-Plus cost the same per diaper. As you are not having bowel accidents in the diaper, the less expensive A Plus Level 4 is the nearest equivalent to the Abena, except for the lack of internal leak guards. I definitely had to use either a onesie or compression pants to hold up the A Plus Level 4 or the Abena. When nearly saturated, that is a lot of weight. Tell us more about the Dry 24/7. I have not tried it. --John

Certainly john. As you may know, Dry 24/7, now Confi Dry 24/7, is the single product made and sold by Dry Care. They recently became known as so absorbent that they actually outperformed Abena in XP Medical's tests. However, they were so bulky that a lot of people could not wear them with out seriously loose clothing in the daytime. they were even thicker than abena. Also, at oe time they had two levels of sizing..small/medium, or medium/large. When i tried them when i was considering extended wear briefs, i found the small/medium to be a bit small.. and the medium/large was almost too big.. so i decided to not use them. I don't think they redid their sizing until after i stopped having continence issues, by which point there was obviously no reason to try them. I thought id give em a try now that they a) came out with an actual in the middle of the road medium and B) made effort to make it less bulky. I tried it on, and the medium defintely does fit better than the ones I tried before. I find discresion or how a product looks under clothes hard to guage..any rule of thumb? Im guessing a onesie does MUCH to conceal the bulk and shape of the diaper.. hence a good reason for wearing it..
