Hi, all. It has been a while since I've posted. I saw this story and had to log in to share this.

A man who wears diapers because of prostate cancer was going through TSA security. You are not going to believe what happened!

TSA agents 'humiliate cancer victim wearing adult diaper' at security checkpoint

This is the original blog post:

DH was humiliated by TSA. *long post* We're both pretty upset. Anyone else have bad experiences?

If you have a bladder control problem and wear diapers, how are you supposed to stand in long airport lines and not wet the diaper??? Apparently their policy is to give the maximum security treatment to anyone with a wet diaper.

Has anyone here had this happen to them?

I am disgusted with the whole TSA thing, it is absolutey overkill for security measures. Are these people even trained in regards to these kinds of situations at ALL??? Wow, there is a thing called "Tact" and "Discreetness" is dealing with such a sensitive matter, they should be terminated for making such a scene, if it happened the way it states, completely unacceptable. :x As for myself, I do not fly at all, last time was in 1995 and there was no such security measures in place. I would, if I were to go on a plane, get a note from my Dr. and use the external catheter system, much easier to deal with if I happened to get pulled aside. They would be more then welcome to "examine my junk, along with the attached bag of urine!" lol... I almost could not imagine! WOW!

I have flown several times in the last 6 months and have not had any problems whatsoever. Most of the time the lines going through security have been short and fast but a couple of times I have had to wait for up to a half hour. I've gone through both wet and dry and with diapers in my carry-on as well as in any checked baggage. Not one TSA agent has said a word to me nor have they felt the need to open up my carry-on. I'm not embarrassed of the fact that I am incontinent and if they ever do ask me or strip search me I have nothing to hide. To me it is no worse than wearing eye glasses.

I make it a policy to drain my bladder and put on clean, dry protection right before I enter the TSA line. So far, so good. I'm sure the Xray shows the TSA employee that I'm wearing diapers, but nobody has ever made an issue of it.
