Sorry to sound dim, but what is this 'other site'?

I guess there is no harm really to say and if it is against some rule here Puffy can just deleat this thread. The "other" site is the forums at Depend.com. back a few years ago it had pretty good forum and it was very well moderated. They had a set up like here where any thread that was new and/or had a new reply was moved to the top and was marked. The admins were very much on top of things and as soon as a questionable post was made, it was gone. I liked it because I did not have to read any of that garbage.
Anyways, they would not let anyone post any outside links, did away with the private messaging and just morefrankly became more of forum Nazis. Thee last straw for us was they change formats and went to a tile layout and unless you kept up with how many replies a thread had there was no way to see what was new.
Seemed like they only wanted discussion on their products. I know it was a site for Depend but as most know here, Depend is not the only product out there and for sure not the best either.
Something I do miss are some of the admins and some of the articals they would post. But now I am here, and I have a few of the familure names, i think i have a new home, even if they get there crap together on how its put together.

OK, sorry for the rant. I think I have it out of my system now.

The sort of light bashing of the "other" site recently is getting somewhat old in my opinion. Dotted throughout this site recently are little bits & pieces of changes they must have made which upset people & caused them to look for another home for which they seem to have found here & I'm glad. But in the spirit of what this forum is all about it might be considered to PM each other rather than use the open forum layout to discuss the ill's of that other board. That being said this is just my opinion. I'm not a moderator here & don't make any rules. It's just that when I do my daily reading I like to stick to the subject matter for which this board is intended and add my thoughts and advice if I can.

The Depend site is what it is. It was always a KC vehicle; they paid for it. It is their sandbox, and they're welcome to do with it whatever they will. Acknowledging its commercial nature, I nevertheless found it very useful, well-moderated, and a good, supportive community. If commercial considerations led KC to the changes they made, I am in no position to protest. However, I did come here, not as a protest, but in hopes of finding another well moderated, supportive community.
