what can i do to deal with stinky pee with no infection please help am scared to even leafe the house right now

How do you know you don't have an infection? You ought to get it checked.

Otherwise, watch what you are eating - Brussel sprouts make pee stink for example. Also drink lots... and lots to keep it dilute.

allready been checked that was my first thought along with the feeling tired that i did have infection so went to urgant care lastnite they said it looked good

If you have been to have things tested and it came back clear, I would spend a day or two flushing your system, drinks lots of water, and maybe cranberry juice, and stay away from anything that can even possibly cause odor to urine. A good flush out should help, if it doesn't, then I am not quite sure what you could try next. :? Containment via and external catheter may be a possibility, at least it will be bagged, not deposited into a diaper to release odor, :shock: Puffy

What type of diaper are you using? If disposable diapers most brands have chemicals to neutralize the odors built into the diaper. If you are wearing cloth then you need to strip the diapers by boiling them occasionally to remove excess soap which causes them to smell when wet.

Water, water, and more water. Drink at least 1 liter per day of pure water. Filtered water is better than tap water.

If you are drinking enough water then as mentioned before the specific diapers you are using could have poor odor control.

Mattwp,

Any changes in medications you might be taking? I recently began taking Methotrexate for psoriatic arthritis and it's a medicine that you take a large dose of once-a-week and then nothing. I take it on Friday night and by Saturday, my urine is neon yellow and smells much stronger than usual. If you've changed or added any medications, it's possible that could potentially be having an effect. Regardless, it seems like drinking a lot more water can only help the odor situation even if it makes for a few more changes....

As others have said, it could be anything from not enough water to medication to poor odor control from whatever products you're using, or some or all of the above, but I also want to point out that even if you tested negative for infection, it doesn't necessarily mean that there's no bacteria where there isn't supposed to be. It means that the bacterial count was below what are considered medically normal limits. However, if it's higher than usual for *your* body, things like this may happen. I've experienced this twice that I'm aware of and discovered it during medical tests for something else. Not full blown infection, but enough to notice slightly increased problems.
